What is ICON?
ICON (the acronym for “Interdisciplinary Challenges On Neurodegeneration”) is a project undertaken by the Health Sciences Research Centre of the University of Beira Interior (CICS-UBI) Portugal, that envisages, among other objectives, to investigate novel risk markers of neurodegeneration and analyze the influence of some environmental contaminants in neurodegenerative diseases.
CICS-UBI is a multidisciplinary R&D Unit in Health Sciences, hosted at Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde, University of Beira Interior, Portugal.
